Bike Repair Stand, Open to the Public

Plus New and Improved Pump

Bike Lambertville installed an outdoor bike repair stand and bicycle pump at the North Union Street Park (aka Cherry Street Park). The pump and repair stand are available to everyone 24/7. The repair stand and pump has tools for fixing flats, tightening nuts and bolts, and fixing myriad minor bike maladies. So top up your tire pressure, adjust your seat, and be back on the road in no time.

Special thanks to Hugh Marshall Landscape Contractors for donating the installation of the new pump.

The repair stand has the following tools:

• Phillips & standard screwdrivers
• Steel core tire levers (2)
• Headset/pedal wrench
• 8/10mm cone wrench
• 9/11mm cone wrench
• Torx T-25
• Hex key set

The pump works on both presta and schrader tire valves.

In June 2015, the League of American Bicyclists designated the City of Lambertville as a Bicycle Friendly Community at the Bronze level. This designation was made because of our dedication and efforts to make Lambertville a safe, fun, and convenient place to bicycle.

Bike Friendly Community

It all began when a group of residents wanted to make bike culture an integral part of the Lambertville community as well a safe cycling infrastructure for residents who bike to run errands, those who are bicycle commuters, and the many visitors and recreational cyclists who are drawn to the beautiful river town and to the D&R Canal Tow Path.

Bicycle Friendly Community status means that we have worked towards and continue to work on ways to give people of all ages and abilities the skills and confidence to ride in and around the city. We promote a strong bike culture that welcomes and celebrates bicycling for the city’s residents and its visitors.

Bike Lambertville works with the business community to increase the amount of high quality bicycle parking to keep up with the demand. We also work with our local bicycle shops, community event planners, and city officials to take key steps to move up to the Silver Level designation.

Event Bike Parking

Like a coat check for bicycles, Bike Lambertville’s Event Bike Parking provides a safe, monitored spot to park your bike during a busy event like Lambertville’s annual Shad Fest. We have portable bike rack parking for about 40 bikes at a time. Rest assured that your bike is being watched by conscientious volunteers. And, if you like to travel light… leave your helmet, lock, and bags with your bike.
